About the Punch Bowl – Built around the 1800s it has traded under many guises from staging posts to public is rumoured to be linked to Warwick Castle via a secret tunnel used as an  escape route for the monarchy during times of trouble. Sadly, we as current owners have not been able to find this tunnel or obtain any real evidence of its existence. We have music nights with Live Bands on a Thursday night which are great fun and very well attended. You are very welcome to join us at no charge. Check out our web-site to see which bands  are on atwww.punchbowlwarwick.co.uk If this is not your thing then do not worry as each floor in sound proofed and the music finishes around 11.00pm.

Quirky and comfortable stay in the heart of the city.
Staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and we'll maintained. Everything we needed was provided including continental breakfast with tea and coffee making facilities.
Accommodation is up two flights of stairs. No issue for me but those less able may struggle. Whilst private bathrooms are provided with the rooms, they are not attached and you have to cross the corridor. (Not a major issue but wasn't obvious on the description)

Had a fantastic time in this rustic pub with refurbished rooms, will stay again if ever in Warwick. Excellent Staff and location but difficulty getting Luggage up the stairs

Excellent location with good facilities
Good location and although above a popular bar there was no noise disturbance. Flexibility of the use of the kitchenette was good and offered full range of kitchen facilities
We weren't aware that the bathroom was the other side of the corridor. Kitchenette could be very cosy if all guests wanted to prepare breakfast at the same time.

New!
Fantastic!
We arrived just as the pub was opening and were given a very warm welcome by Claire, the owner, and enjoyed a pint of excellent real ale. We then went to Warwick Races for the day and returned at 6pm to check in. The member of staff who showed us to our room was extremely friendly and efficient, and the room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. In the morning we had our self service breakfast of toast, cereals and croissants, which we ate on the balcony overlooking the park. I would thoroughly recommend the Punch Bowl to anyone, and we will definitely return.

Enjoyable stay
Really enjoyed use of the kitchen, we were able to cook an evening meal which made a change from expensive restaurants. Clean comfortable room.
Wish we could have checked in earlier, I did request earlier check in but was told 3pm,due to the cleaners timetable. After a long journey prefer to check in about 1pm, rest and then go out later.

Fantastic value for money
Value for money, clean and tidy, although not pretty surroundings, very convenient for local attractions, fab kitchen can use, run by people that have given a lot of thought to experience e.g. Nice big cups in the room, plenty of milk et cetera

The rooms are very comfortable, and with a kitchen and little terrace available very convenient too. The location is great, just a short stroll into town. I would definitely stay here again.

Alison Ferneyhough – 5 star. Had a great weekend break in Warwick. The B&B facilities were great , lovely clean rooms couldn't fault them. The staff were so welcoming and helpful they treated us as friends not just paying guests. The pub is a great place to chill and would definitely recommend it as a place to stay.
